About Me
From Service to Studio
I served four years in the United States Air Force as a C-130 Crew Chief and Cargo Rail Specialist — a role that took me from the Azores to Saudi Arabia to Puerto Rico. I was also honored to serve on the Base Honor Guard, paying tribute to fallen servicemembers who gave everything for our country. Today, I continue that service as an Assistant County Veteran Service Officer, helping fellow veterans navigate the VA benefits they've earned.
After earning my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, I found myself searching for something that would bring both peace and purpose. As a prostate cancer survivor, I needed a creative outlet — something healing, something meaningful. I found it in clay.
What started as a personal practice quickly became something more. When I began sharing my work on social media, people wanted to bring it into their homes. That's how Clayvaria was born — handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces made right here in Texas, shaped by a life of service, resilience, and creativity.

"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Design is knowing which ones to keep." — Scott Adams
That quote lives at the heart of everything I make.
